Public transportation
The Parish House is near three MBTA public transit stops:
Charles Street on the Red Line - Walk toward CVS on Charles and Cambridge Streets, walk down Charles Street to Beacon Street, turn left to 64 Beacon Street.
Arlington Street stop on the Green Line - Walk up the stairs from the subway, look for the entrance to the Public Garden; walk diagonally across the Public Garden to the intersection of Beacon Street and Charles Street. Cross Beacon Street and turn to the right to 64 Beacon Street.
Park Street on the Green and Red Lines - Follow the painted red line through the Boston Common toward the State House; cross Beacon Street in front of the State House and turn left. Walk down the hill to 64 Beacon Street.
By car
From the North
Take Route 1 or I-93 south to the Storrow Drive (West) exit. Leave Storrow Drive at the Government Center exit and follow signs to Charles Street (straight ahead); it is one way toward the Boston Common. At the intersection of Beacon Street and Charles Street (sixth traffic light at the Starbucks), turn left. The Parish House is on the left at 64 Beacon Street. Meter parking is residential only after 6:00 p.m. on Beacon Street, and after 8:00 p.m. on Charles Street. The Boston Common Garage entrance is located between the Public Garden and the Boston Common. Circle around the Common or Garden to gain access. It costs $5.00 after 4:00 p.m. weekdays and anytime weekends with a sticker purchased at the Parish House.
From the South
Follow Route 3 or I-93 north to the Storrow Drive exit. Follow the directions above.
From the West
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) east to the Allston/Brighton exit. After the tollboth, take the first exit ramp on the right. At the second traffic light turn right onto Storrow Drive east. Leave Storrow Drive at the Government Center exit; right lane. Follow the signs to Charles Street (right turn). Follow the directions above.
